Nota biograficzna:
Prof. Roland Ulber is the Head of the Institute of Bioprocess Engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserlautern, a position he has held since 2004. Prof. Ulber received his degree in Chemistry from the University of Hannover and was awarded his doctorate from the Universities of Hannover and Munster. In 2002 his habilitation in the field of Technical Chemistry wa s conferred by the University of Hanover. Prof. Ulber′s research interests include White biotechnology (industrial biotechnology), Biocatalysis, Enzyme Screening, Downstream–Processing, Optimisation of fermentation processes and Chemo– and biosensors. Prof Ulber has published 61 peer reviewed papers and edited 3 books.
Dr. Dieter Sell is Head of the Biotechnology Division of DECHEMA e.V., a position he has held since 2006. He received his degree in Biology from the University of Bochum and was awarded his doctorate in Technical Chemistry from the University of Dortmund. From 1991 to 2006 he was the Head of the Bioprocess Engineering Group at the Karl–Winnacker Institute of the DECHEMA. In 2004 he received his habilitation in the field of Technical Chemistry from the University of Hanover. Dr. Sell has published 25 peer reviewed papers and edited 1 book.
Prof. Thomas Hirth is the Managing Director of The Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGB and holds the Chair of the Institute for Interfacial Engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Prof. Hirth received his PhD in chemistry from the University of Karlsruhe. In 1992 he joined the Fraunhofer Institute of Chemical Technology, where he was appointed as Director of the Division Environmental Engineering in 1995. In 2004 he was awarded an honorary professorship at the University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden, in the department of Environmental Engineering and Services.
