This second edition of a classic reference work has been totally revisesd and has gathered the most recent and widespread literature about the elementary, yet multifaceted reaction, esterification.
Following an introduction, the book goes on to discuss the methodology, before treating synthetic and industrial applications. Figures, tables and schemes provide useful aids to help the reader understand the chemistry behind this important reaction.
A must–have for organic, natural products and catalytic chemists, as well as those working in industry, or for lectures in chemistry.
