Asymmetric phase transfer catalysis is an emerging topic in the field of organocatalysis and more fascinating asymmetric reactions by organocatalysis are definitely expected in the near future. In contrast to ordinary metal–catalyzed reactions, phase transfer catalysis has several advantages, including its water–tolerable properties with operational simplicity by using environmentally–benign catalysts, and the easy separation of products due to its biphasic nature.
Edited by the leading expert on the topic, this timely book provides valuable information not available elsewhere, with top contributors sharing the latest developments in this exciting field. Alongside the theoretical aspects, they cover laboratory protocols as well as applications of the process chemistry and chiral technology in industry.
A must for every synthetic chemist in academia and industry.
