Gender and Creative Labour

The structural inequalities that characterise the cultural andcreative industries are widely acknowledged yet to date there hasbeen far too little consideration of the significance of gender forthe burgeoning, precariously employed creative workforce oftoday s global economy.  Gender and CreativeLabour presents a collection of the most recent researchfindings and debate related to various employment positions in arange of creative industries from film and television tomusic and publishing to reveal the implications of gender forcreative labour under contemporary neoliberal economic policies.Featuring contributions from leading academics in internationalfields, the collection illuminates the gender–specific issues thatmark the creative sector.
