Author Biography: Catherine Fuller, MA, PGCertEd, is a lead staff developer within the National Probation Service for England and Wales and provides international learning and development consultancy and training. She helps practitioners and their managers in a variety of settings, develop skills, understanding and confidence to facilitate change in others. Her background includes over 30 years as a practitioner, manager and staff developer. Phil Taylor, BA Hons, originally trained as a professional engineer, then made a career in the probation service as probation office, manager and trainer. Later Phil had his own training business working in the criminal justice sector across England and Wales. On retirement he completed a Creative Writing and Art degree. Phil has a concern to describe complex ideas in ways that can be easily understood by practitioners. Kath Wilson, MA, BA Hons, is a senior lecturer and leads the probation programme at De Montfort University. She has previously worked in both the voluntary sector and as a probation officer. She teaches mainly around issues of Offender Management and Interventions Practice within the Criminal Justice System, particularly in relation to probation and policing programmes. Her research interests include diversity, management of offenders and management of change. She has recently published Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender People and the Criminal Justice System.
