Claire Komives, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Chemical and Materials Engineering Department at San Jose State University.  Her research interests include biosensors, enzyme kinetics, cell culture, fermentation and bioprocess engineering. 

Weichang Zhou, PhD, is Senior Director of Commercial Cell Culture Development with Genzyme Corporation. He has previously worked at Merck Research Laboratories in its Bioprocess R&D department.
