For more than twenty–five years, Peter Vaill has been a leading voice in organizational development. The noted consultant and teacher coined the phrase "permanent white water" to describe the turbulent conditions of today′s corporate world. PETER B. VAILL holds the Distinguished Chair in Management Education at St. Thomas University, Minneapolis. Cited by Training and Development Journal as one of the top ten organization development specialists in the United States, he has consulted with universities, health systems, professional associations, and multinational corporations around the world. He is the author of Learning as a Way of Being (Jossey–Bass, 1996) and Managing as a Performing Art (Jossey–Bass, 1991).
