Understanding Leukaemia and Related Cancers communicates, in easily accessible language, the basics of these diseases, how they are treated and what the likely outcome might be. It is intended for a varied audience, including patients with leukaemia and their families, non–specialist doctors, medical students and allied health staff. It should help even the more experienced doctor to grasp in easily communicated terms the essence of the disease in terms understandable to the patient. There is a comprehensive glossary of terms, and an international listing of patient support groups.
