The Handbook of Japanese Linguistics

Written by an international assembly of distinguished linguists, The Handbook of Japanese Linguistics brings together the fundamental areas of linguistic inquiry into the Japanese language. These include major theoretical developments in phonology and syntax as well as interface areas involving syntax, semantics, and morphology. Natsuko Tsujimura is Associate Professor in East Asian Languages and Cultures and Adjunct Associate Professor in Linguistics at Indiana University. She teaches various aspects of Japanese linguistics, lexical semantics, and all levels of Japanese. Her recent research area includes lexical semantics. Her publications include An Introduction to Japanese Linguistics (Blackwell, 1996). She is editor of the Journal of Japanese Linguistics .
