This volume of specially commissioned essays, written by leading experts in the field, is designed to offer an up–to–date overview of the theory of international trade and its applications. The essays are not only designed for advanced undergraduate and graduate students but also to allow professional economists a ready insight into the main developments in the subject over the last decade.
The ground covered in the discipline is all encompassing and the reader is introduced to a wider menu of analytical tools than most textbooks permit. The readings thus provide both a thorough supplement to existing textbooks and an excellent introduction to international trade.
