Ludmilla Ignatiev Callaham (deceased) was a noted lexicographer, translator, chemist, and the author of the three previous editions of Callaham′s Russian–English Dictionary of Science and Technology. A Russian language scholarship and awards endowment has been established at the University of South Carolina to honor her life and accomplishments. Patricia E. Newman is an electrical engineer, translator, and senior member of the technical staff at the Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also a former President of the American Translators Association. John R. Callaham is a chemical engineer, editor, and former Senior Vice President–Editorial at McGraw–Hill.
