Praise for the Auditor’s Dictionary
"A fascinating read. The selection of entries is imaginative and prophetic and in itself progresses the science and art that is audit. This will be an essential part of the auditor’s toolkit–cherished, revised, and updated over the years–and a firmly entrenched aspect of the audit environment."
–Professor Gerald Vinten, PhD, Editor, Managerial Auditing Journal
Past president, Institute of Internal Auditors–UK and Ireland
"Everything you wanted to know about auditing but were afraid to ask. David O’Regan has compiled a comprehensive, which will be easily understood by nonauditors and greatly appreciated by financial and audit professionals. This is a must–have addition for professional libraries and a standard desktop reference for accountants, auditors, and financial professionals."
–Jim Kaplan, CIA, CFE, founder and principal of AuditNet.org
"This is an invaluable reference for all those who write about, study, and practice the arts of risk management, control , and governance."
–Jeffrey Ridley, PhD, Professor of Auditing, London
South Bank University
"Remarkably comprehensive and clearly written, this book should be in every audit group’s library."
–James Roth, PhD, President, AuditTrends
"This is a thoroughly comprehensive data source on auditing. It should prove invaluable to all with an interest in auditing–including practitioners, academics, and students."
–Professor Tom Lee, Professor Emeritus of Accountancy
University of Alabama
"A goldmine of easily accessible facts for practitioners and researchers."
–Curtis C. Verschoor, PhD, Research Professor Emeritus
School of Accountancy and MIS, DePaul University
