Psychopathy is among the most difficult disorders to diagnose and treat. It should come as no surprise, then, that practitioners require a unique set of strategies to gain an understanding of the mind that guides the behavior of a psychopathic person.  Psychopathy and Law: A Practitioner′s Guide provides those working in the fields of law, the military, social and health services, politics, and business with a comprehensive introduction to myriad facets of psychopathy and the mysterious ways of thinking that guide the psychopathic mind.

Various case studies examine in detail the specific skills of psychopathic persons in influence–making, impression management, and manipulative behavior. Practitioners will gain a deeper understanding of the types of countermeasures, tactics, and strategies to employ that can minimize the harms and danger that psychopathic people can cause to others. Special attention is given to issues relating to psychopathic behavior with the criminal justice system and civil proceedings. Authoritative and illuminating, Psychopathy and Law: A Practitioner′s Guide is an indispensable resource for anyone working with psychopaths in the judicial system.
