Pat Howlin is Professor of Clinical Psychology at St George’s Hospital Medical School, UK and author of numerous books and articles on intervention in autism, including Children with Autism and Asperger Syndrome (Wiley, 1998).
Simon Baron–Cohen is Professor of Developmental Psychopathology and Director of the Autism Research Centre at Cambridge University, UK. He is one of the co–discoverers of the ‘theory of mind’ deficit in autism, his key books are Mindblindness (MIT Press, 1995) and The Essential Difference (Penguin, 2003).
Julie Hadwin is Lecturer in Developmental Psychology at Southampton University, UK. She carried out the research on which the first edition is based.
