Contemporary Issues in Occupational Therapy: Reasoning and Reflection brings together a collection of essays written by experts in the field of occupational therapy and who are at the cutting edge of theory and its application in practice. At the beginning of the twenty–first century, occupational therapists are beginning to conceptualise occupational therapy as a complex intervention.  This book provides the level of detail to support such an understanding.
It includes chapters on:
the profession of occupational therapy, how it has developed and what is involved in being an occupational therapistthe idea of occupation from different perspectives, providing detailed analyses of the concept that is central to the profession of occupational therapyhow theory is used in occupational therapy practice, for example, in making decisions or implementing research findings
All the chapters are based on sound research and scholarly activity and, as such, demonstrate deep knowledge and learned arguments as each topic is explored in depth.
This book will be an asset to post–graduate students of occupational therapy, occupational therapy educators and occupational therapy practitioners.
