A Roadmap to Non-Hematopoietic Stem Cell-Based Therapeutics: From the Bench to the Clinic provides basic stem cell principles, promises, challenges for the use of stem cells in various clinical conditions, and future prospects. Ultimately, the volume serves as a tool to facilitate the development and use of stem cell-based therapies. The advantages and disadvantages of various sources of stem cells are discussed.
