Evidence–Based Orthodontics, Second Edition retains important elements of the First Edition, with several new sections to improve its use as a quick and comprehensive reference.  The first section of the book includes a chapter on the history of evidence–based orthodontics (EBO), as well as updated materials on accessing, assessing, and utilizing the evidence.  The second section consists of 56 concise summaries of systematic reviews on selected orthodontic topics.   Finally, more than 400 systematic reviews document the scope of evidence that is currently available, as well as the gaps that may still exist.  

Ideally designed for clinicians and students, this textbook also caters to academicians who may wish to teach EBO or conduct systematic reviews.  Methods to search for relevant evidence are described in detail, as are the parameters to critically evaluate the literature for inclusion in systematic reviews.  The future of EBO is also discussed in a chapter on Understanding and Improving Our Evidence.
